How Facebook, MSN, Twitter, etc. have affected our friendships, advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages are, you are able to contact your friends, it’s free, and you can video call with a people, which enable you to see them even if they are overseas. You can also develop business contacts, and setup social events.

Bad points, the disadvantages are there is less privacy people can see what you get up to, there can be bad people, such as paedophiles and rapists. It can cause arguments between people; it can be source of cyber bullying and cause isolation.

 

How new online communities join people together (including those in remote locations).

The advantages a…Xbox live; it gives gamers a chance to interact with new people from all over the world, to make new friendships and socialise, chat rooms also give people a chance to socialise and gossip. The disadvantages are that it can also cause arguments, it can make you lazy, anti-social make you stay in more because you can just talk to your friends over the internet.

 

Effect of computer games, advantages are that gaming can improve your concentration, your reflexes, it’s just generally great fun. Disadvantages are that that in can cause back strain, damage to eye sight, and again can make you anti-social and lazy.

 

Internet addiction, disadvantages are that you can be pulled into gambling websites; you always feel the need to be connected to the internet. Always looking at a screen which also can affect your eyesight.

 

No need to leave the house – online shopping, Wikipedia instead of library, etc.

The advantages are that doing your work online is that you won’t need to leave the house, the means you can save yourself time and money. It can save you all the effort of getting ready and travelling you can just do it all online at home.

The disadvantages of doing your work online are that you can find yourself interacting with people less by not going out and seeing your friends. When you’re constantly staring at a computer screen can be bad for your eye sight and again cause back strain.
